DAAG CONFERENCE 2013
The University of Texas at Austin, together with Chevron, Shell and the Society of Decision Professionals would like to thank the participants that were able to attend the 19th Decision Analysis Affinity Group (DAAG) Conference 2013 that was held during the dates of April 11-12 in downtown Austin. For those of you that could not attend, the Society of Decision Professionals (SDP) is pleased to bring you "the Best of DAAG" presentations via their monthly webinars (Visit www.decisionprofessionals.com for upcoming events and replays of presentations).
Unique in its venue, DAAG is known across industries to unite Practitioners in DA application and implementation from Pharmaceuticals, to Military, to Oil and Gas and Manufacturing.
We are planning to hold DAAG in Boston in 2014. The INFORMS Analytics conference will be held on March 30 - April 1. DAAG will meet either just prior to, or just after, INFORMS to facilitate joint participation, particularly in view of the interest we expressed in broadening the diversity of DAAG's attendees.
It was also decided that SDP would take on the role of DAAG "coordinator" and would work with each year's sponsors to ensure continuity, continuous improvement and to provide logistics support. Current plans are that, along with SDP, the University of Massachusetts and IMS Consulting will co-host, with Shell and Deloitte as co-sponsors. Jeff Keisler and William Leaf-Herrmann will be co-chairs of the steering committee.
FEEDBACK APPRECIATED: If you participated in the 2013 DAAG business meeting we would appreciate any additional comments or reflections you may have. If you did not attended this year's DAAG but hope you will attend next year, your feedback and/or thoughts is appreciated.
